Fox Corporation’s fourth-quarter profit rises, but misses estimates
(RTTNews) – Fox Corporation (FOX) reported fourth-quarter results that rose from a year ago but missed Street’s estimates.
The company’s net income totaled $306 million, or $0.55 per share. That compares with $253 million, or $0.43 per share, in the fourth quarter of last year.
Excluding items, Fox Corporation reported adjusted earnings of $413 million or $0.74 per share for the period.
Analysts on average had expected the company to earn $0.76 a share, according to figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analyst estimates generally exclude special items.
The company’s revenue for the quarter increased 4.8% to $3.03 billion from $2.89 billion last year.
