Former FERC chairman Chatterjee joins Hogan Lovells

Law360 (September 1, 2021, 8:20 p.m. EDT) – Recently-departed Federal Energy Regulatory Commission member Neil Chatterjee wasted no time finding a new job, landing at Hogan Lovells as senior advisor in corporate energy regulatory practice and to a think tank advocating for a national carbon tax.

Hogan Lovells announced Chatterjee’s arrival last Monday, the day he concluded a four-year stint with FERC, including more than two years as president. On the same day, the Climate Leadership Council, which called for a national levy on carbon emissions, announced that Chatterjee would join the Republican-leaning group as a senior policy adviser.
